The Sheperd of the mist

On one occasion, I ventured into the Mist, fearful of what I might encounter that could harm me, or worse, transform me. During this brief journey, as I crossed the border between Shameyim and Yluro, I entered the thick, steadily advancing Mist. I walked for 30 minutes, dodging lesser demons and fleeing from larger ones I spotted in the distance, until I came across a horrifying figure. This entity was taller than average, measuring two meters, and emaciated. My heart raced as I approached, feeling a tremendous pressure in my chest. Everything around it lay in ruins, as if it had been scorched by the Mist, which emanated from a massive scythe carried by this being. The demon appeared sad and melancholic, as if it were searching for something or harboring a sense of longing. For the first time, it seemed that there was a demon with intellect.

Faced with such a discovery and the danger of being near it, I decided to exit the Mist as quickly as possible. While at a distance, I stopped to observe it again, intending to sketch it. The figure rose, and two demons emerged at its command. It pointed in my direction, and the demons, like hounds, sprinted after me. It acted like a shepherd tending to the Mist, while the demons acted as its obedient dogs, killing anyone who did not belong to it.

Exiting the Mist was not easy, especially while having to dodge the hordes of demons that inhabited it.

Once outside, I could only think of one thing: Was this entity responsible for creating the Mist? I didn't know if anyone had seen it before, but given its actions, I decided to name it the Fire Shepherd and to inform Shameyim, the neighboring kingdom, that something powerful and intelligent appears to be advancing within the Mist toward their border.
